HUYỀN QUANG 

Trong không khí hân hoan của Tết Trung Thu, đêm hội trăng rằm tại chùa Đại Bi Quan Âm (2138 Lincoln Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92411) đã trở nên đặc biệt sống động và ý nghĩa hơn bao giờ hết với tiếng trống lân rộn rã và những màn biểu diễn ấn tượng của Đoàn Lân Gia Đình Phật Tử (GĐPT) Huyền Quang.

Năm nay, với tinh thần phụng sự và lan tỏa niềm vui, đơn vị GĐPT Huyền Quang đã chia thành hai nhóm để phục vụ cộng đồng. Trong khi chị Liên Đoàn Trưởng cùng các anh chị Huynh Trưởng cấp cao tham dự Tết Trung Thu tại chùa Điều Ngự với Miền Quảng Đức, thì nhóm còn lại, dưới sự hướng dẫn của Huynh Trưởng Minh Hạnh, đã mang không khí lễ hội đến với chùa Đại Bi Quan Âm. Sự hiện diện của Đoàn Lân Huyền Quang đã góp phần tạo nên một đêm Trung Thu đầy ắp kỷ niệm, mang đậm bản sắc văn hóa dân tộc cho đồng bào Phật tử xa gần, và đặc biệt là cho các em nhỏ - thế hệ tương lai của người Việt tại xứ người.

Một hình ảnh đặc biệt ý nghĩa và trang trọng đã mở đầu cho màn trình diễn. Trước khi ra sân khấu khuấy động không khí, các em đã đưa lân vào chánh điện để thành kính đảnh lễ Tam Bảo. Đây là một nét đẹp văn hóa, thể hiện lòng tôn kính và tinh thần của người Phật tử trong mỗi hoạt động, trước khi mang niềm vui đến cho mọi người. Sau nghi thức đó, những chú lân đầy màu sắc, những bước nhảy mạnh mẽ và uyển chuyển theo từng nhịp trống đã thực sự chinh phục trái tim của tất cả mọi người có mặt. Đằng sau những màn trình diễn xuất sắc đó là cả một quá trình tập luyện miệt mài và đầy tâm huyết.

Dưới sự huấn luyện của Huynh Trưởng Kenny, các em đoàn sinh Ngành Thiếu đã dành trọn thời gian và công sức sau mỗi giờ tập võ Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo (từ 2:30 PM đến 5:00 PM) để trau dồi từng động tác múa lân. Không chỉ các anh chị lớn, mà các em Oanh Vũ cũng háo hức tham gia, góp thêm sự rộn ràng bằng tiếng chập chõa, thanh la.

Hoạt động múa lân không chỉ là một màn biểu diễn nghệ thuật, mà còn là một bài học quý giá về giá trị văn hóa. Đối với các em nhỏ sinh ra và lớn lên ở nước ngoài, đây là cơ hội để các em kết nối với cội nguồn, hiểu thêm về những phong tục tốt đẹp của ngày Tết Việt Nam. Múa lân dạy các em về tinh thần đồng đội, tính kỷ luật, sự dẻo dai và lòng dũng cảm. Hơn nữa, việc Đoàn Lân GĐPT Huyền Quang thường xuyên giúp đỡ các chùa, các cơ sở trong những dịp lễ Tết không chỉ để biểu diễn mà còn nhằm mục đích gây quỹ để tự trang trải, mua sắm thêm trống, thêm lân. Điều đó dạy cho các em tinh thần tự lập và trách nhiệm với tập thể.

Gia Đình Phật Tử Huyền Quang (www.gdpthuyenquang.com) luôn tự hào là một môi trường sinh hoạt lành mạnh, nuôi dưỡng cả thể chất lẫn tâm hồn cho thế hệ trẻ. Chúng tôi không chỉ dạy các em về văn hóa, ngôn ngữ Việt mà còn tạo ra một sân chơi bổ ích, nơi các em được học hỏi, vui chơi và phát triển toàn diện qua các hoạt động đa dạng như:

• Học tiếng Việt
• Sinh hoạt GĐPT
• Cắm trại, dã ngoại và các kỹ năng sống
• Nghệ thuật, thủ công
• Võ thuật Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo

Nhân dịp này, GĐPT Huyền Quang xin trân trọng kính mời quý phụ huynh ở San Bernardino và các thành phố lân cận hãy đưa con em mình đến tham gia và tìm hiểu về đơn vị chúng tôi. Đây sẽ là mái nhà chung, nơi các em được sống trong tình lam, học những điều hay và giữ gìn bản sắc văn hóa Việt.

Ban Huynh Trưởng GĐPT Huyền Quang xin chân thành cảm ơn quý Thầy tại chùa Đại Bi Quan Âm đã tạo điều kiện cho các em có một sân chơi ý nghĩa. Xin gửi lời tri ân sâu sắc đến quý vị phụ huynh đã không quản ngại đường sá, luôn đồng hành và ủng hộ bằng cách đưa các em đến tham gia đêm hội Trung Thu vừa qua. Sự hiện diện và cổ vũ của quý vị chính là nguồn động lực lớn nhất cho chúng tôi và các em đoàn sinh.

Một mùa Trung Thu nữa lại về, mang theo ánh trăng sáng của sự đoàn viên và hơi ấm của tình người. Kính chúc toàn thể quý đồng hương Phật tử một mùa Tết Trung Thu an lành, hạnh phúc bên gia đình và những người thân yêu.

In the joyful atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the full moon celebration at Đại Bi Quan Âm Temple (2138 Lincoln Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92411) became especially vibrant and meaningful with the resonant beats of lion dance drums and the impressive performances by the Huyền Quang Buddhist Youth Association (BYA) Lion Dance Troupe.

This year, in the spirit of service and spreading joy, the Huyền Quang BYA unit divided into two groups to serve the community. While the Senior Group Leader and high-ranking leaders attended the Mid-Autumn Festival at Điều Ngự Temple with the Quảng Đức Region, the remaining group, under the guidance of Leader Minh Hạnh, brought the festive atmosphere to Đại Bi Quan Âm Temple. The presence of the Huyền Quang Lion Dance Troupe contributed to a memorable Mid-Autumn night, rich in national cultural identity for Buddhist followers near and far, and especially for the children—the future generation of Vietnamese people in a foreign land.

A particularly meaningful and solemn image marked the beginning of the performance. Before taking the stage to stir up the atmosphere, the members brought the lion into the main hall to respectfully pay homage to the Triple Gem. This is a beautiful cultural tradition, expressing reverence and the Buddhist spirit in every activity before bringing joy to everyone. After that ceremony, the colorful lions, with their powerful and graceful steps synchronized to each drumbeat, truly captivated the hearts of everyone present. Behind these excellent performances lies a process of diligent and dedicated practice.

Under the training of Leader Kenny, the youth members of the Boys' Division dedicated their time and effort after each Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo martial arts session (from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM) to perfect every lion dance move. Not only the older members, but the younger Oanh Vũ children also eagerly participated, adding to the liveliness with the sound of cymbals and gongs.

The lion dance is not just an artistic performance but also a valuable lesson in cultural values. For children born and raised abroad, this is an opportunity to connect with their roots and learn more about the beautiful customs of Vietnamese festivals. The lion dance teaches them about teamwork, discipline, flexibility, and courage. Furthermore, the Huyền Quang BYA Lion Dance Troupe regularly assists temples and organizations during festive occasions, not only to perform but also to fundraise to cover their own expenses, such as purchasing new drums and lions. This teaches the members a spirit of self-reliance and responsibility to the group.

The Huyền Quang Buddhist Youth Association (www.gdpthuyenquang.com) is always proud to be a healthy environment that nurtures both the physical and spiritual well-being of the younger generation. We not only teach them about Vietnamese culture and language but also create a beneficial playground where they can learn, play, and develop comprehensively through a variety of activities such as:

• Vietnamese language classes
• Buddhist Youth activities
• Camping, picnics, and life skills
• Arts and crafts
• Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo martial arts

On this occasion, the Huyền Quang BYA would like to cordially invite parents in San Bernardino and neighboring cities to bring their children to join and learn about our unit. This will be a common home where they can live in the spirit of camaraderie, learn good things, and preserve their Vietnamese cultural identity.

The Huyền Quang BYA Leadership Committee sincerely thanks the venerable monks at Đại Bi Quan Âm Temple for creating a meaningful playground for the children. We send our deepest gratitude to the parents who, regardless of the distance, have always accompanied and supported us by bringing their children to participate in the recent Mid-Autumn Festival. Your presence and encouragement are the greatest motivation for us and our youth members.

Another Mid-Autumn season has arrived, bringing with it the bright moonlight of reunion and the warmth of human affection. We wish all fellow Buddhists a peaceful and happy Mid-Autumn Festival with their families and loved ones.
